Indian River Golf Club

Established in 1923 and still member-owned, though open to anyone who turns up. A challenging but genuinely walkable layout with elevation change, water, tree-lined holes and open ones — variety enough to hold the interest, and tees enough to suit any level. Golf Digest has named it one of the best places to play in Northern Michigan; locally they just call it the friendliest club in the north.
