About Local Links

Every public golf course in Michigan, in one place.

Local Links started the way most good golf ideas do — with a group of golfers trying to answer one question: where are we playing this weekend? Finding accurate information about public courses meant bouncing between outdated listings, dead websites, and phone calls that went to voicemail. So we built the tool we wished existed.

What Local Links Does

Enter your zip code, pick a radius, and see every public golf course nearby — with price tiers, weather for the day you want to play, and contact information that actually works. Save courses you like, build a Tee Sheet, and share it with your group to pick a course together.

Local Links covers more than 570 public golf courses across the entire state of Michigan, from Metro Detroit to the Upper Peninsula. It's free to use, and no account is required.

Why the Data Is Different

Course listings on big national sites go stale — courses close, phone numbers change, websites move. Local Links is Michigan-only, and every listing is checked: closed courses are removed, contact details are corrected, and verified courses have confirmed their own information directly with us. Accurate course information, verified by the courses themselves — that's the whole point.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many golf courses are on Local Links?

More than 570 public golf courses across the entire state of Michigan, from Metro Detroit to the Upper Peninsula. Private clubs are not listed — Local Links is built for public golf.

Is Local Links free?

Yes. Searching courses, checking weather, saving favorites, and building Tee Sheets are all free, with no account required.

What do the price tiers mean?

Each course shows a tier based on a typical 18-hole weekend rate: $ is $0–45, $$ is $46–75, $$$ is $76–100, and $$$$ is $101 and up. Some courses don't show a tier yet while their pricing is being confirmed. Always check with the course for current rates.

What is a Tee Sheet?

A Tee Sheet is a shareable shortlist of courses you're considering for a round. Add courses as you browse, then share the sheet with your group so everyone can compare options and pick one together.

Does Local Links book tee times?

No. Local Links helps you find and compare courses, then connects you directly to the course's phone number or website to book. Your tee time is between you and the course.

How is course information verified?

Course details start from publicly available sources, then get checked — phone numbers, websites, and operating status are reviewed, and courses that have closed are removed. Verified courses have confirmed their own information directly through the Local Links verification process.

I run a golf course — how do I verify or update my listing?

Use the Verify Your Course form and we'll review your submission and update your listing. It's free, and it makes sure golfers see your correct hours, rates, and contact info.
